May Day
Thursday May 1 is May Day across the world. May Day or ‘The Worker's Day’ as it is also known, originates from workers’ struggle for an 8 hour work day. This year will also mark the 60th anniversary of the universal declaration of human rights. President of the Public Services Association, Mrs. Jennifer Baptist Primus says that "the contribution of the working class is reflected in the continued growth and development of Trinidad and Tobago.” In recognition of this day the PSA is urging the citizenry to continue the struggle to protect and maintain a decent and dignified quality of life.
