YMCA opens first Tobago swimming camp

YMCA site in CourlandThis morning, the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) officially launched its Tobago swimming camp at the YMCA site in Courland. The camp which saw scores of young people will run from August 3rd to 20th, with the aim of teaching participants various swimming techniques.

It was a 2 in 1celebration on Sunday as it was the official closing of the Tobago Heritage Festival and the 172nd marking of Emancipation. The celebrations took the form of a grand street parade from Milford Court to Pigeon Point then a stage production.
