http://www.tobagochannel5.com/images/news/videothumbs/news_020310_s2_1.jpg The Carnival season signals fun and festivities from calypso and soca to mud and pretty mas. But persons could get carried away in all the excitement and let their guards down which, according to research, usually results in an increase in unwanted pregnancies and diagnoses of HIV and other STD’s.
With this in mind, the Division of Education Youth Affairs and Sport through the Department of Youth Affairs’ My Help programme is going around the island with a simple message this season, “Watch Your Back”.
The project, creatively designed for the youth in the society, would take different forms including street theatre, workshops and motivational sessions, one on one counseling, and dissemination of information. This caravan would continue during the next two weeks, where the department would journey to more secondary schools and six communities.
