Finance Secretary makes statement on burnt government documents

Finance Secretary, Dr. Anselm LondonFinance Secretary, Dr. Anselm London has fired back at the Minority Leader saying his statements into the discovery of burnt government documents is a clear intent to create political mischief.

This after Tobago Channel 5 highlighted the story about some documents from the Finance Division that were burnt in a secluded location in Mt. St. George. He said that the Minority Leader never called the Division to seek clarity on the situation.

Dr. London then proceeded to deliver what he called the facts of the matter. He went on to explain that there is an official process that has existed since 1965 for disposal of government documents of a certain age and quoted the ex-checker and audit act of 65 sections 135 to 137.
