BRAVO H1N1 finaly reaches our shores but I havent seen any was offer to common people such as the elderly and sick people who I would class as priorty
because they are more vunrable.

I was in trinidad a few weeks ago and unfortunately my mother go ill and had to call a ambulance. I find the behalve of the health care workers was unforgiverable when we go to the health centre where my mother was taken, I had the pleasure of observing how the health care workers were skeptic to provide care to the patience because in their tiny little mind every body was dying from H1N1 and they have to be carefull. I strongly beleive that triindad would never be ready for an epdemic and thats all because of the attitude of the health care workers. The only thing they were ready to do is dish out mask.

Oh my god, I find people to be really ridiculous in this matter with the two teenage boys. I wanted to know how they are feeling? What were going through there minds? Did they feel any remorse to what they were doing? I am so sorry for what the parents of those boys are going through and i hope that accept my condolences.

Its all well and good to tell suffers to stay in doors but they also has to understand this person is sick and need help. I believed the longer a person go with this dreadful disease is putting the public more at risk. A care plan need to put in place for the people especially those living alone children and the elderly

i work at a tv station in Huntsville Alabama, WHNT News 19 and the death count in alabama is 4 from the H1N1 virus. There is a flu shot you can get for the virus, it will be out to the public shortly. the precautions they tell you to take here is to stay indoors if you have the flu to prevent the spreed of the virus.

Its thank no one is demise by this flu and i think something has being doing right to keep the death toll at bay. if we bear in mind there is quite a number of death in america and england so trinidad is doing a good despite the scare was generated in our region.

I think a lot more could have been done especially with regards to educating the public on the disease. Thank goodness there are no deaths though!!!

I do not think a structured approach has been adopted by the Ministry of Health. This is a simple pandemic to bring under control but the Ministry has mishandled the situation to the point where it has become out of control.
I think initially the Ministry did not appreciate the fact that H1N1 could reach Trinidad and so they thought it was an inocuous virus that could never reach the magnitude that it has reached.
Fortunately some private facilities have taken the opportunity to bring relief to the pressure that is being put on the public health facilities. In spite of this the Ministry has not fully accepted private testing despite hat the minister is saying.
